get yourself a 17th edition regs book... dont have to be the newest one, couple of years old one will do too for basic theory.

It is crazy how much they charge for copies of the BS,s ,, i looked at buying a load for my gas work a few years back and was gona come to lots of hundreds but then gassafe register now have a thing you pay £75 per year and you have online access to everything, very handy ,, do select or nappit or any of them ones do similar?
