This is not me :) and no I am not Delroy either :) but saw this lad whom used to be a spraks and now going into tool retail so thought I would give a fellow celebrity sparks a bit of a forum shout out and wish him well in his new business up start ...

I did wonder who thr whole venture (Loadout) started and that whole dropshipping thing as a whole, must had some wad saved up if he's going to be buying in and storing stock, fair play to Mikey, just seems like all and sundry are getting a unit now ?.....mwiaiting to see what that little one makes of the little area they'll be given, something tells me it won't last (that kids bit, not thr whole unit thing)

My old firm (who I did my apprenticeship with) owned a unit just off the new kings road in Fulham. The company owner bought in in the 60s maybe 70s for a couple hundred quid and stored all crap in it like conduit , tray , old stuff. It was onld rusty unit with corrigated sheet roof. full of dust n cobwebs like an old barn. We often had to go to the unit to get stuff for jobs. He sold the unit in around 2000 for a million quid to a land developer. I think units are mainly leased now but the people who own the units must be making an absolute killing

Nice guy....but this could end in serious tears .Ive just looked at his prices and a few other big online retailers . Begs the question "Why pay more from a new start up" when a well respected company can offer better prices and probably better "clout" with companies if a product has a issue etc .

He is expensive, i can't afford to buy from him but i wish him luck.

The website is irritating with jiggling "add to cart" boxes, stupid popup boxes "how can we help you" etc, messages in the browser tabs, etc. Then mininum spends per brand. Not for me, I just wouldn't even visit the website again.

Seems like a nice bloke and I hope this works out for him, but online tool sales are cutthroat in the extreme.

Reading through the site it seems he's drop shipping at present and plans to build stock off the back of that - at least it keeps the initial layout low while he figures out how viable the business is.

Minimum orders seem off-putting, but they aren't as high as I expected - I mean ÂŁ40 with Unilite woud barely buy a charging lead ?
