Hi guys

i am running cables for two ceiling speakers off my tv
what kind of cable do I run and how do I do the final connection

thanks in advance

Screened CAT 5 cable makes good speaker wire. Use 1 wire from each twisted pair commoned together for +ve and the other wire from each pair commoned together for -ve. Not sure about terminations, guess it would depend on the connection method at the speakers.

What kind of connection would it b behind the tv all I can see is ports
would I have to get the soldering iron out

Some cheap foil screened speaker cable from ebay or maplins, solder to the two tags on the rear of the speakers or use the phono connectors if built into the case (depending on the speaker type) then use phono connectors into the back of the tv. use the type with solder tag connectors in them which are about ÂŁ2 each.

If the tv doesn't have an amplifier and the speakers are normal un-powered ones then use an amplifier..

:)
