Spot lights

A question about spot lights and how they're wired...
Is there anything wrong with the "spider jointbox" method? Other than looks? It's a lot easier to connect one cable rather than two and if installed in a ceiling with a loft above the joint box is accessible

it's OK, but i prefer to daisy chain 1.0mm into line enclosure "eggs" then flex out with wagos to spotlight.

We tend to daisy them as well and make the cables off in to Hager J501's and just connect the downlight in to the bottom of the JB. We only really install Ecostar LED downlights so obviously no need for additional flex etc.

I prefer to install click flow connectors for each light. It means I can second fix the whole lot, then test it and plug the lights in afterwards

Which ones do you use? I have used the blue ones on a job a while back. Only thing i didn't like was a lack of strain relief for the cables.

Did you say spider lighting

used them blue click conns on some LED panels. OK but for the fact that the plugs have basic screw terminals , meaning you need to ferrule all the flex ends. PITA.
