Spot the mistake

I had a problem with a lighting circuit today. The picture (or link to it as it says that it isn't a valid picture when trying to insert it) doesn't actually show the full problem, there was a small nick in one of the lives too, didn't help matters much.

well the neutral's (black) are being used as line conductor's and the cpc's as the neutral and who knows where the line (red) conductors have disappeared to? Is the rest of the installation wired the same way?

The wires to the pendant should be wrapped around those strain relief things.

I know!!! I know!!! I know where they go!!!!! Actually, they were sort of ok, in a connector pushed back up into the loft space. Only sort of ok though, no enclosure of course.

The rest of the place was strangely in good condition, just this one light fitting.
