How old would you say the wiring is? I'd say 'old' judging by the use of plain green sleeving, which is prohibited by the current edition of BS7671.
 
I was there to get shot of the rewirable board and put in a new CCU.

The slotted screws were a luxury, behind the bathroom light was the base of an old pendant, snapped in half but all stuffed up there and no screws in sight.
 
Twisting the cpcs together and sticking a single bit of sleeving on it....

More irritating than lack of bonding when the stop cock and gas meter are right next to the cu
 
Had a load of inspections on caravans at the beginning of the year which the park owners told me had been I&T's 3 years previously. All the cpc's were so tightly twisted together and stuffed into a bit of undersized sleeving, there's no way anyone had looked at them since the caravans came out of the factory. BIG GRRRRRRR!!!!!!
