Do you guys have a prefered spotlight. I need to put some spolights in a bedroom and I wondered if there was a make which is good value and god quality. the room size is 8ft x 9ft and I was going to 9 spotlights in it but dont know if 6 would be better.


not sure is there a rule of foot when it comes tot hese things

I will check them both out I take it these are from a electrical wholesalers

no GU120 is the lamp holder type. it will take 230V halogens or 230V LEDs. the other fitting type is MR16, which is the 12V fitting, but you need transformer or driver for that. stick to GU10 you can;t go wrong. more flexible, and lower current at the fitting by a factor of 20.
 
To be honest a down lighter is a down lighter as long as its fire rated to current BS standard it's all about how the visible part looks and they all look just about the same, robus fittings are fine, if you are snapping the tops you are being heavy handed and if you say the connections are rubbish I take it you mean shearing you must be over tightening. If they were that bad they wouldn't get stamped
