Has anyone used one of these?

I'm thinking of getting one, but do they do work ok on brick?

dont dont dont waste your cash ,, but if you dont believe me u can buy my single and double one.

they are only really good on soft block, if you hit red house bricks they struggle badly
 
Waste of money and messy. I used mine about 3 times. They do a job in soft materials but crap in anything harder than breeze. Scutch chisel and lump hammer is easier and cleaner.
 
Hmmm....I do use the more expensive square box cutter, however it is very prone to destroying whatever it touches!

That said on a rewire I do find it quicker to go for a box cutter than scutch, NOT that style though!

I feel a scutch is by far the best way to cut one or two boxes in, far less need for making good!

On a rewire i use a grinder or sds drill to cutout backboxes. SDS if its furnished etc, and grinder if its empty.

How expensive is the one you buy , because i paid ÂŁ200 for my single box and double box sets.
And they dont touch hard brick?
