stacking laptops

is it hazardous to stack laptops while charging

a customer mentioned that they planned to do this and i didn't like the sound of it

2I think you will causing damage to the laptops in the long run... can he not space them apart from each other so the vents are well ventilated... with my A/V gear I space the equipment with 4 bits of conduit cut to 1 1/2"

There is a HSE case going on with regard to Laptop Charging "Trolleys" after a teacher received an electric shock from one when it was disconnected from the mains.
So, you should be careful of how the wiring is undertaken if you are charging banks of such devices from a common perhaps single power source, e.g. in that case is was a BS1363 plug.

A quick solution would be a document rack. It will space the units out and it’s easy to get one out without having to shift a stack of them.
