I’ve recently been offered a role as an electrical improver doing commercial and industrial work and I start in 2 weeks. The employer is aware that I’m going to be quite rusty as it’s been such a long time since I left college but I don’t want to go into this unprepared. I’ve been flicking through old course work but i was hoping someone could point me at some stuff that might be more important. Anyone have any advice on what I need to catch up on before I start?

Sorry if this is in the wrong thread I wasn’t too sure where to put it.

Hi Alex, I am not able to help you with your question, however I am looking to take the same route as you into the industry and am about to start studying level 2 then 3 electrical installations c&g 2365.

I would like to know if you have had a difficult time finding work as a mate and improver hence the timeframe, or if other factors are involved. I am just concerned about my job security at the end of the qualifications.

All the best,

Max
