If you have a job best bet at the moment is to stick with it!
Have a look through the job section on the forum and you will see lots of people asking for jobs / experience many for free and already with all the quals.

If you want to do domestics then you can get by with relatively few qualifications but the short courses typically around £6k + set up costs are around £400 for tester £500 for membership of part-p self certify scheme, insurance, tools etc So it isn't a cheap in! Lots of guys on here are saying they have had only a few days work this month so the £45K adverts you see are a tad optimistic at the moment to say the least.

If you are really serious your best bet, in my mind, is probably to talk to your local collage although this will take a long time. Often at training centers you can do courses at weekends.

Thankyou for replying, i also emailed my local college and they replied with this....

"We offer full time Electrical Installation courses and part time work based learning courses. At present, the full time courses range from Entry level up to the City & Guilds level 2 Qualification. On a part time basis, we run the City & Guilds 2330 Level 2/Level 3 and NVQ Level 3 – students must have a relevant work placement to undertake these courses. Details of the 2011/12 full time and current part time courses can be viewed via MidKent College's Medway & Maidstone Course Guides All courses are due to start again in September and applications for full time courses are being taken now. The new part time course guide will be published at the end of March and applications can be made from then on for the part time options. Please forward your address details if you would like either prospectus sent to you."

Now do you think they mean to do a part time course i also have to be in some sort of job in the electrical field and also the courses they have offered what level would i be when finished?

sorry if asking to much just need some good advise!

Thks

Carl
