Hi all need a some help want to start up by my self but havent got part p at the min am just about to it but want to know if i can do some small jobs like installing down lights and ext sockes as long as its not in the the kitchen bathroon outsite ect if i do work i have to inform bc if this right
 
Non notifiable work can be done without informing building control and you could just carry on and do the work, however I would recommend doing the course first so that you have an idea of what you are actually doing.

For example your downlighters are they fire rated or fire hazard and what steps would you take to ensure safety and compliance with part B of the building regs which deals with fire safety. How many downlighters is it to much for the existing circuit etc etc
