Discuss stat and non-stat regs in the Electrical Wiring, Theories and Regulations area at ElectriciansForums.net

I think what he's tried to do is put them in columns - non-statutory on the left, statutory on the right ie
Non-stat: BS7671, GN3, OSG, GS38;
Stat: EAWR, HSAW.

I realise that. What I'm saying is that GN3, OSG & GS38 shouldn't be included in either column as they are NOT regulations, they are GUIDES

Oh I see. Technically true I suppose, but whenever this question is asked it is usually for exam revision, and the examiners allow guidance notes and BS numbers.

Literally what you are saying is correct however, having recently completed 2330 lv2 and lv3, the question that asks to list non stat regulations, they are looking for OSG, GN3, etc

Are you sure they don't ask for Statutory & Non-statutory documents?

You know what C&G are like for the way they word their questions. :D

Something like that, yes. Either way, when you get the question or they mention "statutory and non-statutory" you know what they're looking for and it will include guidance notes, BS numbers etc.

It's like when they ask you what colour a CO2 fire extinguisher is. The answer is red with a black label, but the answer they're looking for is black. Put 'red' and you'll get it wrong, even though technically it's right.
