How can I get rid of a build up of static electricity?

On a sink
Been told to go look at a Job were tenants keep getting static shock from sink
Spark told me it's due to dragging feet on floor near sink

but is it static? sounds more like a fault. maybe water not bonded.

No he says all bonding is present

test it from met to part in question

test from sink to MET on low ohms. if you get a very low reading, then it probably is static. tingle due to body having as static charge and discharging to earth on touching the sink. what is the floor material? sometimes spraying the flooring can eliminate the problem esp if carpet with a hiugh nylon content.

isit not insulation resistance test and has to be higher than 22k ohms

i don't know what it's called, it's an anti static spray. there are firms specializing in it. years ago, the firm i worked for installed an alarm system in a new office. every time the girls put the key in the panel, they got a static shock. we called in this firm and rthey sprayed the carpets. end of problem.

when we use to do raised flooring , we had to put static strips in every corner of where the tiles laid, would that frame have been bonded too, never though about electrics then

google "anti static treatment. " several firms there do the spray treatment to eliminate the problem.
