Can you get any steel trunking with 20mm knockouts for Conduit drops? If not what's the best way to make the holes just a standard 20mm drill bit?

Not to my knowledge but back in the day you couldnt buy manufactured bends so anything is possible. However the usual method is to use a sharp 20mm holesaw and then de-bur the edges before coupling with a standard brass bush and coupler.

Hope that helps.

Manufactured trunking fittings have been available for many years one of the reasons they were not frequently used was the unit cost as labour costs have increased it became cheaper and more cost effective to use the manufactured fittings than to have someone making the bends, tees and sets onsite

Never seen any trunking with knockouts and not sure how much use it would be if they did you could guarantee every cut would be across a knockout

And don't do what I did when first drilling trunking, drill to close to the back edge so that the bush would not turn ...........caused many an amusement to the spark until he realized that I had done about 6 drops like this ............and had to replace 2 lengths of trunking ............another scrapheap had to be found, I dread to think how much bodge steel containment is buried in the pits of Kent

and eventually you worked out that if you drill with the back of the hole 5mm from the back of the trunking , it lines up with the saddles below without having to put sets in the conduit.
