I wear the cat desert type. There about £100 but they last a good year and are very comfy to wear. They heel is very supportive and great for ladder work. Give them a wipe with g-wax as this helps the raw leather take more knocks.

i really like my haix trekker pro's.

about a year old now and still look new (after a quick polish with kiwi)

they leak eventually and when they get properly wet they start to fall apart, cant beat leather boots

When you get the cofra boots can you post a review. .....

I've been looking at these as I have wide size 10's and find I'm having trouble cuz my feet seem to sweat more now making 12+hrs on site 7 days a week for 3 or 4 weeks at a time a bit of a nightmare and the cofras are supposed to be well ventilated

We do foreign installations every 2 or 3 months and the last one 2 weeks ago in China killed my feet due to the humidity (any miracle cures welcome) I used to be a Royal Marine so I do know a thing or two about looking after my feet but lately it's causing me problems ie lost a big toenail from the above and kneeling a lot!!!
And I've had to go straight on another job in the glamorous East Midlands! for 3 weeks! !!

but the trouble is the only width they seem to come in my size is the ESD type "electrostatic discharge" with very low resistance, obviously not good for an electrician! !!

get some bamboo socks, there cheap and the same as they fancy expensive breatheable socks.

you can get them cheap on amazon

i used to have the same problem with sweating feet and it turned out to be my choice of socks making it worse.

wool or bamboo are your best bet, avoid cotton as that is the worst ones for sweaty feet

I do use the bamboo socks and they are better, wool us just too hot at the moment as I'm always indoor now, when I used to be outside more ,wool worked well .

Cotton socks are the worst for work , also a lot of the so called work socks just make your feet hot
Apparently thin merino wool is ok I'll probably get some to see.

have you tried haix, they make some called air something or other that is supposed to keep your feet cool, i nearly went with them when i got my trekker pro's

I'll have a look
When I used to work on industrial sites uk , I was ok as I'd always take two pairs of boots and change socks/boots at lunch which trust me if you get tired feet works wonders!
But due to flying baggage weight restrictions I have to take the absolute minimum of tools/ gear and normal clothes so I have to live in one pair of boots.
