I have an on going job at the moment and I am hoping to use this for my certified scheme assessment, just a quick one with the stickers; RCD test quarterly, Periodic inspection and mixed colours (existing installation) Can these be on the underside of the cover that you open for the CB's or do they have to be stuck directly on to the front of the board?
May sound a silly question but I have heard these assessors can be a little picky at times.

And one more thing while I'm asking the tails from the cutout to the board goes through a cavity do they need flexi conduit?

It really doesn't alter the fact that going out of your way to conceal advisory and warning notices from those whom they are intended to benefit will defeat their objective. That much should be obvious.

Putting labels on the inside of a lid, that can be easily lifted with one finger, is hardly 'concealing', that holes getting deeper :(

Concealing has nothing to do with preventing access - the point is it isn't visible unless they decide to look for it which entirely defeats the purpose of it. You're digging the hole here, not me.

It was in response to hightower asking whether I would site a DB in a press. I was telling him that I certainly wouldn't by choice, and in fact across the border it is expressly prohibited by the National Wiring Rules.

I thought putting a non ferrous metal CU in a non combustible 'press/cupboard', was one way of complying with reg 421.1.201?

They are clearly visible, when you lift the lid; a concept firmly established by the majority of manufacturers as complying. The manufactures of such equipment, have committee members as representatives to JPEL/64? Can't see them making such a strategic blunder.

I'm shovelling stuff in, so you can climb out :)

It may be visible when you lift the lid but it won't achieve much if someone has to decide to look for it to find out what it advises!

So they have got it wrong then?

Bit like a car then, with all the warning labels in the engine bay; they should be re-positioned in a prominent place on the outside, on top of the bonnet, so the persons aware before they open the bonnet?
