Strange one today, storage heater was roasting hot at the top but cooler at the bottom. Tested all elements, was getting 23 ohms for each of them so elements are fine, but client complaining that it’s not as warm as it used to be. The charge control clicks on and off when turning, could it be that the charge controller isn’t working as it should and not letting it heat up enough? Fitted a few heaters but limited experience of fault finding on them any help would be appreciated

The heat control sounds likely.

It could also be the economy 7 time clock needs adjustment if its not giving enough hours for the heater to warm sufficiently (if this is affecting all the heaters in the property?).

The fact there’s a readable resistance on the elements, and they’re all the same suggests they’re not to blame.

Is the output the simple mechanical flap that rises and lowers when the output dial is turned? You can sometimes bend the arm to give more movement, more change between min and max

Do you have a heat sensor or camera? Check the front of heater against others
