On my list of jobs for tomorrow is to look at a Dimplex XLS.... only put in a few years back has stopped working.

Any common probs which I could look out for ? (Obviously will be checking supply and dp switch first)

i find a 14lb. sledgehammer is the best cure for storage heaters.

Lets start listing what could go wrong (please add what i miss)

Electricity supply company timer does not switch on or off, for off peak times ( had one where was on 24 hours and caused a fire in main DB, please note storage heaters are only 7 hours rated)
Over heat stat/link has tripped or needs replacing (click the button to reset or replace the link)
Element gone (never in 24 years have i come across this)
Faulty switch to supply of storage heater, check and replace if needed ( not a common issue for a 20 amp double pole switch)

Not a fan of storage heaters any more.... last couple of jobs ripped the old pieces of junk out and replaced with http://www.farhouk.co.uk/radiators.php

click the button.......... there is a rest button after removing the cover, this reset button is normally used when the storage heater has over heated (normally due to occupants drying clothes on/near the heater)

You forgot one

When you take the cover off and find asbestos refit cover bag and seal it and arrange removal
