Are these heaters replacements for existing Storage heaters?

They can't be connecting Off peak storage heaters to an always On Ring circuit, the heaters will be on all the time.
Are they just connecting the control circuit for the heater to the Ring and using an existing Off peak supply for the heating load?

Are they altering the existing circuit wiring, or are they only connecting the heaters to existing FCU / Double pole switches.?

Are they altering the existing circuit wiring, or are they only connecting the heaters to existing FCU / Double pole switches.?I its the control there connecting to the ring and then using a existing off peak supply for the heating, and connecting to FCUs , not altering circuit wiring unless heater has to go in another location, but there not installing rods when there isn't one.

There connecting the control to the ring and the heater to the off peak supply and connecting to a existing FCU , sometimes the circuit is altered if the heater has to go in another location . But there not installing an RCD in situations where the is no RCD protection in the house . Sometimes they do connect the heater direct to the ring when there is no off peak supply.

The new 'smart' storage heaters can be connected to a single 24 hour supply with the two sets of terminals within linked then programmed so that the main 'core' only draws power during the off peak period - assuming there is an existing dual tariff supply in place.

I was installing storage heaters for over a year and used both the Elnur Gabbaron and Dimplex quantum. The Elnur are more high maintenance with settings each heater had its own dedicated supply off peak and the on peak we would use fused spur although need to be careful as the large ones have a balance element which is powered via the on peak supply and should the heater require topping up for heat the element would kick in so if you have a number of heaters and one ring main could overload circuit. Took me a while to master the controls of the Elnur gabbarons but once fully understood they are good heaters

Another factor is not every household is off peak midnight till 7am and this causes problems with the heaters you need to alter the settings which isn’t straight forward you will have an error 4 message every morning if the heaters are out of sync with timing for off peak
