Stovetop

New stove top was recently installed. The next day I couldn’t get it to turn on, so I turned off and on the breaker. Went to the stove top and it worked perfectly making dinner.
The next day I can’t turn it on again, same thing, turn off and on the breaker and it’s working fine.
What’s wrong here?
Shouldn’t be a fault. Is it overloading after working fine for an hour or is there a reset switch that wasn’t connected in installation?
Didn’t install it myself, have only worked as electrician for construction, commercial buildings, hospitals, casinos, hotels, etc.
