Hi need help please, just come across a 2 way lighting arrangement that has used red yellow and blue coming from ceiling rose to switch instead of strappers going from switch to switch, then splitting the blue to run another light while keeping the red and yellow intact.in ceiling rose there was red and black joined in loop as normal but then red, yellow and blue also wanted to remove 2 way and just keep 1 way as no longer needed. Removed red yellow and blue and joined reds and blacks together to keep loop but did not work.any ideas

Hi,

Seen it before where the wiring has been done as if the cabling was run in conduit, and the strappers have been linked through the rose rather than the conventional way of wiring with T&E.

Regards.

once you have it sussed, its fairly easy to work anything out.

but if not, it will seem like the devils work.
