Worst case The south panels performance would be down rated to the same level as the west ones.
 
So, if I've understood correctly:
- the Sunny Boy 4000TL has two pairs of inputs, call them 1A + 1B and 2A + 2B
- if I have one of the west facing strings connected to 1A, and the south facing string connected into 1B, that 'whole' input would run at whatever the lower of those two strings was generating.
- if the remaining west facing string was connected into 2A, then that would be unaffected.
 
yes, I think so. it would be better to have the south string on one tracker and the west on another.
