i use snips,in fact i still use snips to strip pyro its what you feel most comfortable with really.

i like snips too, they are versatile. has anybody heard of knipex twinforce? if i could find a 1000v set i'd buy them

Is any of the knipex stuff insulated a have a couple of pairs some where and when I looked it didn't say anything on them

red and yellow is, red and blue isn't. i bet they are insulated though, it's the gaurds on the front that are worth having if you are going to work live

Mine are red and blue, have that they are tested to 1kv. It's not very often I have to work live anyway.

But they don't have the shield to stop ya fingers sliding up the handle do they?

True, but if I'm working live I'll be taking care anyway. If people need the shields to work live they shouldn't do it. Not that I'm advocating working live.

This is how i was taught to strip pyro even though we made stripping tools when we were apprentices....snips is the only way for me..lol
