Ah right disregard my last sentence of my post earlier - electrical separation is basically e.g. your shaver socket, so fault protection is provided for by the fact that it's isolated and it is presumably unlikely to have a double fault.
However, that is an Alternative to ADS, not part of it, so the question indeed is strange.
