BMS installers have attended. After fitting the panel they also replaced the aged lighting in the boiler room with 6ft LED battens as instructed by the lead contractor. This is reasonable maintenance in my books. Ish. They removed old lights, took the lids off the BESA boxes, fitted Klik roses and then connected the new battens.
The whole circuit is wired in Hessian covered VIR singles in steel conduit. Its actually im good order. Once ive found the neutral i think ill test it. But as i say, visually its sound
BMS have added am EML in tri. Nabbed an N & L off the existing VIR in the switch. Plus a CPC for the fitting from the conduit further back.
Problem is, they've fed their EML from the light switch (a plastic unit). CPC is brought in from a rose furrher up. The 20mm Galv from the plastic light switch containing the tri to the EML isnt earthed.
So basicslly theres a short length of galv 20 connecting a plastic switch to a plastic EML which contains tri. The conduit isnt earthed. Should.it be ?
I need to earth it dont i?
TLDR - singles in galv, neeed to bond galv
