Sub Contracting for Able-group??

Hello fellow sparks! I would appreciate any advice on the following:

Does anyone or has anyone subbed to Able Group from Leigh on Sea in Essex? I am really struggling with work at the moment and so I thought this company could pass some work my way. I have sent off all the forms and crap but not heard anything from them.

I can't find anything about them on the www and would be gratefull for your thoughts.

PS I live in South Wales.

Back on topic now, alot of companies like this will take your denials and contact you when they have work in your local area, so don't expect alot of work from them initially as they will also have others in your area who they will have been using for longer periods of time so will offer them the better jobs first.

They are advertising on job centre website for sparks to cover newport area and hereford. I was looking myself, only lists a tel number on the site. Give 'em a ring a see what they say!

I wouldn't bother, they gave me the job 'after no interview' and I turned them down. You charge the customer per half hour, most jobs are quick in and out jobs, so the only way you can make money is to drag it out for an hour at least. Oh and you have to attend their jobs with next to no notice. Search google, lots of complaints about.

Thanks for your replies and I was a bit impatient! I have been accepted too and been sent job invoice/work forms!
But I haven't heard anything since ie jobs going, pay rates and stuff.
The job advert said urgently required leccy so I was expecting something small at least.

Yes I've read some bad reviews on google but like they say- only bad news gets reported and not good!

Well 40 quid for an hour is better than nothing! I don't mind the short notice tbo.

I did read the original post. Generally if you don't hear from someone. A phone call to prompt/ ask question as to why they haven't been in contact will usually get answers quicker than posting on a forum. Just my point of view.

Nope, they give you work 'as and when'. They could give you one job a day

Yes I am going to ring them but I was asking what were they like to work for and if anyone is subbing for them. I can't exactly ask them if they're any good !
