Hi all, this may be a no brainer for some of you, I have a job on a farm that has the mains from the house to a workshop where there is a sub main in old 3036 fuses, none of this is a problem as I will be upgrading the sub main board , I want to run another sub main from the sub main in the workshop for stables and hay barn that is being built, 6 sockets and maybe ten lights, just checking this can be done and I think my main problems will be volt drop and earth leakage from the rcd`s, anything else to look for?

as you say volt drop from the supply origin to the end of the final circuit will be one of your major headaches depending on load, length of cuircuit and cable size etc. Check protective device dicrimination esp RCD's. Might be best to TT the work shop and barn or maybe just the barn ZeDB will dictate that.

Now now chaps, I didnt start this thread for peoples to fall out :D
Thanks for all the reply`s, aint it strange when you start out on your own all common sense seems to go out the window  :D
