Can i run a submain from the garage into the house study room in 25mmpvc/pvc tails, apporx. 15mtr run, the garage is attached to the house and all the ceilings have been taken down? or any suggestions on a cheaper way? would i be able to install the tails in the wall down to the new mains board...

i will run it in 2 core 16mm aroured cable with switched fused isolator in the garage, will earth the armoured up at the switched fuse end, if i run it in 16mm this would take about 100amps which would be ample for the installation, your thoughts chaps?

I think I'm right in saying your not allowed to use the armoured as an earth. I'd use 3core

yeh, will use the 3 core then i know it right, i could probably get away with 10mm but will use 16mm to be on the safe side

I thought about a separate 10mm earth but it might work out just as cheap to use 3core

The SWA armouring can be used as the CPC, but in this case, i'd be inclined to have a the 3rd core connected to the DNO's earthing conductor.....
