Suitable cable for outside light?

What's the best type of cable to used for an outside light where the cable is going to be exposed for about 4-5 meters where it drops vertically to the light? They suggested a type of flex to me in CEF today, can't for the life of me remember the type but it was black with a rubbery kind of sheath. I'd like something suitable to all kinds of weather.

if its dropping down vertically then drop it down past the fitting...then back up into it to form a `drip loop`...
very important....
