The present situation. Main Supply service head 3 phase + N 100amp located and terminates within basement of shop premises.
this service presently supplies 1 consumer unit via electric meter serving shop only, mounted in the basement.
The upper three floors presently have no electricity as they were for storage only, the landlord now as plans to convert the upper floors to residential flats.
the landlord wants all the metering and switchgear to be installed in the communal area/ entrance for the upper flats, this entrance is separate to the shop.
its 10 Metres away.
the shop owner does not want to allow access for future flat owners to the basement area, so all metering will need to be located in the communal area for the upper flats.
advice on method to get from existing service head located in the basement to new metering position for flats.
would it be necessary to install a ryefield 3 way 60 amp splitter located close to the service head then 3 100amp sub mains to new metering position.
or
would it be acceptable to install a 100amp three phase isolator at the service head position then a 3 phase+N sub main supply terminated into a 3 way 60 amp ryefied board at the new metering position.
any views on method would be appreciated, it may be that I will need advice from the Network Suppliers.

They are more than likely going to tell you/the customer what they are willing to do, for how much and how long the lead-time will be.

Time to get on the phone as anything we state on here is speculation.

You will have to contact the local DNO. If customer wishes existing supply to remain in the cellar for the shop only so be it.
The flats will require a suitable separate supply as you say in a communal position. You will require Land Lords supply for stair lighting and as 3 story fire alarm also. Others will confirm that though.

Thinking about it a bit....Re costings etc. Might be possible to use the existing 3 Phase cable and get the DNO to divert it to the new communal area so that ALL meters art sited there for shop, the new flats and Landlord supply. The existing Shop will then require a sub main back to the cellar. Assuming existing cable large enough for existing and additional load requirements.
It can be far cheaper to use existing service cable rather a brand new supply. DNO's call this a service alteration.
Best though to contact the DNO as you are increasing the load. Are the new flats going to electrically heated?
