Evening

I am supplying a garage which is 14 meters from the house (House is TNCS), I will be taking the supply from a non - RCD protected 32A MCB using 6mm SWA cable buried. I will not be exporting the earth, so will installing earth rod - TT at the Garage, protected with a 30ma RCD and 2 MCB's 6 & 16amp.

Is is this sufficient protection MCB & SWA or is RCD protection needed?

Where I am confused is the earthing connections from the house as I am not exporting the earth is my only earth connection for the circuit from the earth tag of the SWA.

Also in the garage, I have my earth from the rod connected and the terminal and the earth tag from the SWA.

I originally purchased 3 core SWA and was told I should connect the earth to the house and leave it disconnected at the shed.

Think I have over thought this job and I "cant see the wood from the trees", so hoping for some clarity.

Thanks

Who told you that?

Whats needed is some aluminium framed greenhouse queries with paraffin heaters in them.

Q.
Do I bond the frame to the nearest wet tree?

A.
Why the fXZ! do you need to bond it?

Or similar scenarios:)

Good question well phrased, however I do not know the answer to this question just now. But I will speak to the knights who say Ni for clarification on shrubberys.

Seems you believe everything your told, including leaving a perfectly good earth (0.35 ohm) behind, in favour of an unstable 200 ohm earth!! Good luck to you!!
