Ah, ....all becomes clear now!! To be honest, i don't like the idea, give me solid terminal connections into the back of an oven, .... everytime!! ...lol!!!
 
Oh I agree but when that is what ye manufacturer leave u to connect it up with no hardwire terminals what option do u have, but be aware that neff bosch and siemens all use these leads
 
No need to worry about the leads not being protected from overload by the MCB as the ovens are not capable of overloading their leads, therefore overload protection may be omitted. There is a reg, but don't know the number atm.

2.5 meets the adiabatic for 32A and 40A MCBs, so ok for earth faults.


This is an interesting point and has played on my mind before. Does anyone know the specific Reg that is being referred to here please? I'd check my own book but i'm sat on a train on the way to a night out (sad, I know)!
