Hi Guys,

Quick question can you add cables to existing PVC trunking in escape routes without fire proof support if your coming off an existing circuit within the PVC trunking?

Regards Mike

Seem to remember we've had this discussion before about escape routes in dwellings. If you use the definition given in the regs and apply it to a domestic property, then any doorway could be construed as an escape route. Napit want to take it even further, as in their opinion any cable above a 30min plasterboard fire barrier should have reg 512.11.201 applied to it.

So guess we start using metal clips for 6242y. :)
