surge protection

i did electrical for industry for years as a machine repairman and did not know much about surge protection with plug in surge devices. so we never did use them. in fact they are not required in our area yet. but i learned of them as new machine started to come in with surge protection installed in there panels, so we started to use the plug in devices or get the power strips with surge in them around the shop for external machines and devices.

and then for my house i started to get either plug in devices or power strips if i needed them for multiple devices. to get surge protection for my tv's and pcs and other electrical stuff like fridge stove washer dryer etc.

then i came across the eaton whole house surge protector chspt2ultra device that connects to the breaker panel and has 108ka protection. and installed one. but we had a house fire due to a car fire and now will be getting a new service panel.

my question is what is the difference between the eaton chspt2ultra blue label and the eaton chspt2ultra ultimate surge protection 3rd edition surge trap black label that has the same 108ka protection? and the Eaton Whole House Surge Protector-CHSPT2ULTRA 108ka protection
