Hi guys,

how would you code a SWA cable which feeds a DB within a commercial unit with no seperate CPC so only realying on the SWA strands as means of CPC

I personally dont like relying on the SWA although regs are quite happy about it. Always scared SWA comes loose on gland.
Are other forum members comfortable with only the SWA ?

If the gland is fitted in such a manner that it can become loose then it is non-compliant regardless of whether it is designed to be the CPC or not.
You cannot tell the steel that you don't want it to carry any fault current under fault conditions, it will carry its share and if the gland is loose it will get hot, possibly spark and start a fire.
