Hello All,
Is there anything you can get to find out what size CSA for armoured cable if already installed and unable to read the sheath.i struggle to work out for eg.is it 35mm or 50mm

Can you lay your hands on some offcuts of the various sizes of cable available and use them to compare??

Failing that a micrometer or, make your own gauge out of a piece of aluminium.

Further investigation into this matter resulted into Guess work by experienced electricians and that info came from swa manufactures,however thanks thats exactly what i am going to do,get cut offs.
i cant beleive that info is not available when such a important thing like cable size is down to the electricians guess work,when it could make the difference between over protective device or not.
i will keep looking into this matter to see what resolves and to share with the rest of us.
