SWA - too short!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

been working on site today - came across someones bad calculations - there is 6mm swa in a ducting underground and it only comes out of the ducting at one end! i managed to dig down to the ducting and found the other end buried underground.
So what is the best way of connecting two pieces of swa in a ducting?? resin joints? or connectors in a connector box?

If the join has to be underground I'd say a proper resin filled joint is by far the best way, any type of enclosure if buried will cause problems sooner or later.

would be lovely wouldnt it. but its not just 5 metres of cable - will cost hundreds to replace and the client doesnt want that

Go for the resin cartridges that you can use in a standard gun, saves all the faffin about

Instead of digging it up and jointing it on the ground you could have jointed it at the other end and pulled the slack down through the duct
