Hi All,

Im extending a ring circuit for a customer but he wants two switches for his washing machine and dishwasher, he doesnt want socket outlets showing on top of the work surface but just wants these two switches, is there an easier way of doing this but keeping the ring circuit.

Thanks

macu

Extend ring through two 20A DP switches with a switch wire from each going to a single socket (one for each appliance). Seems a simple solution am I missing something here?

Why not use a FCU above the work top, spur down to a 13amp unswitched socket under work top

Good idea I was thinking along those lines when Risteard put me right, don't do any installs now just keeping an interested overwhatch

Thanks guys, but why the customer wants two switches is beyond me but i did suggest to have two sockets in the cupboard but he insists on having switches so i think having two FCU's and spurring to single sockets would be the way to go.
i'll try again and put him off the idea of switches.
