Not sure if this is a silly question but when changing the tails on a CU do you change the tails from the main cut out to the meter? also do you need 25 mm tails if the main fuse is only 60 or 80 amp?
 
You don't have to change the tails from the cut out to the meter.That is down to the DNO.You only need to change the tails to the CU if the cut out fuse is 100A.

Holte End (best name on here:)) not only don`t you have to, you really don`t want to :eek:

Anything upstream of the meter & the DNO will get very protective & quite likely very, very cross

They may look the other way over cut-outs being pulled (& who`s to say the seals weren`t cut before you got there? ;)) but they wouldn`t appreciate you kindly doing a bit of re-tailing for them :D
