Tek Screws

Hi,

I am just about to buy a load of tek screws for a job in a week or so, fixing tray to the outside of a steel clad building.

I was looking on the screwfix website and their ones and people say they are rubbish.

Just wondered where you lot get them from and if they are any good?

these are the best tek screws for not slipping

companies cant decide which size to use let alone

ph1,2 or pz1/2 etc

link no worky and i use these hell of a lot

they only prob with them is you need to drill a pilot hole and only ok for thin sheet if any thicker i find the heads strip of snap

I think I still prefer the stitcher's , they do tend to be what the erectors use to put the sheets up in first place .

Yes Corbs you do have to drill, but bloody good. also come in black.

I know CEF sell something similar which are absolutely shrite

Very much like their customer service and everything else about them.

i would use rivets as its not that much load and no vibration

You will need quit ebig rivets though and I doubt my riveter would go that big as they are M8 bolts, so you would need something on that size which I do not have.

Or the alternative was to just use tek screws to fit SWA cleats down the wall?

but with it prob being .9mm will it grab decent

I picked some TIMco trek screws up from screwfix today, 6.3 x 25, I happend to have an old steel house radiator so tried banging a few in with the impact driver and I am really impressed.
