As title. I will start off with yesterday's daft booboo. Lighting fuse out, in pocket. stripped switch, PIR, and outside light prior to fitting new light.. croc clipped L/N of one cable to bell out as there were 2 cables in fitting, 2 in switch, 2 in PIR. identified cables. temp. different colour tape on ends of each. back to CU and replaced fuse with croc clip still across L/N. OOPS. and no spare 1361 for miles.

Bet you didn't blame someone else for the mistake like on that ad though did you?
re.the ad. not just the wrong ladder. what about the non-sds diy drill. and why is he drilling the outside wall when he is fitting a fire alarm? is it now a requirement of regs. to fit outside sounders on fire alarms now?

once placed L-N-E in to a 3 way Wago Clamp Connector forgetting it was not like a 3 way chock block (dont ask) any way went to put lights on and POP, POP, POP,POP..! scratch head! blamed joiners for "throwing the wood into the loft they were going to convert" then noticed my wago and quietly disconnected while they were moving the wood about and been tidy with it..!

re made MCB and left! :) kept stum ever since!

Got to Admit I had the same problems the first time I used wagos. Thought the meter was playing up at first when testing.

When I was a second year apprentice and working in a house, the lady of the house said to me. "Will it be alright if I have a bath while you're having your lunch?"
"It's ok with me", I said, "as long as you don't splash my sandwiches."
The client didn't find that funny, but the boss was rolling around the floor in agony.

when i was a pup i was wiring up a time clock next to the db to do the o/s/l, which i could see, time clock in hand exposed connection on back, yep you guessed it, i thought it would be a good idea to flick the breaker, sat me on my ---!
:p woops!:rolleyes::rolleyes:

refitted lounge carpet after adding 2 sockets. could not find my smokes. then spotted a lump in the centre of the carpet. oh, well,i thought, only a couple of smokes in the packet. out came the lump hammer and squashed it flat. then the lady of the house came in from the kitchen, saying" here are your cigarettes, you left them outside in the garden. have you seen my budgerigar?"

A bloke I was working with said that I couldn't bend two 45deg bends tomake a 90 without having to cut it down to make it fit. I made bends and worked out I'd lose 20mm ect. Held it up totrunking and it fitted perfect. Was jumping about winding the bloke up saying how good I was extend he pointed out that the other end of the tube didn't fit. Idmessured from the 100mm on tape and forgot to take it off measurement. Still haven't lived that one down!
