Beats me how this is an electrical problem, it’s clearly mechanical or general overloading in the process. Replace the shear pin with a cut down EN8.8 bolt. It doesn’t have to last long.
Any drive that could have problems with high torque/jamming should be fitted with a torque limiting clutch.
