I worked for a franchised land rover service centre last year and was told the average customer spends just under £2k at every service.

Obviously you can go back street and warranty won't be an issue on a car that old.

Bear in mind that parts of so well placed around the vehicle it takes 2 days too change the horn if it fails.

If you're not doing many miles or using it for business you'll be ok.

ive had a 4.7 grand cherokee, just fancy something a bit "fancy"

i had an ex police range rover for about 3 months before the engine seized , was a 2000 though

i dont mind replacing parts etc just dont want to be doing it so often it is off the road more than i can use it

There are quite a few things to be aware of when buying one far to much to list tbh (pm me if you want) but if you find a good one which has had its major services on time it will go forever great cars, best advice I had was research research , for the money your looking at though imo I would go for an early D4 as a lot of the D3 and early range sport teething problems were fixed I went for the discovery in the end and wouldn’t have anything else.

I bought a black Evo 8 in 2014 instead of a house I was looking at.

2 years later sold the car for 50% less, whilst the house had doubled in value. How do you think I felt......
