Morning all.

A straight forward question if I may.

When is it acceptable to use terminal blocks and electrical tape?

This is one of my biggest hates, and Mr DIY loves the stuff. What a pig it can be to get insulation tape off once something has been embalmed in the stuff, and it starts to go gooey.

and on all connections on 1000watt stereos and amps in boy racers' cars. bvit of luck they'll all catch fire and blow up.

yep agree the blocks look terrible much better to just twist together and use the tape.

LOL I nearly spat my coffee out when I read this! It reminded me of a customer who went the extra mile when putting a light fitting up and used a lighter to melt the cables to expose the copper then adopted the "twist and tape" method. He was really put out when I told him it was one of the worst pieces of work I had ever seen.
