I've just acquired a Metrel Instaltest 61557 & with it came a bagful of test leads & other bits 'n' bobs.
Amongst it all there is a normal looking rubber 13A trailing socket but on closer inspection, I found a 4mm test lead socket in the hole where the cable would go through if it were being used as an extension cable.
When I opened it up I found that all the terminals inside - earth, live & neutral are all wired together & to the 4mm test lead socket.
Can anyone please tell me what this is for?
Many thanks for your help.
