That's cos he's a happy hippy[emoji6]
Yes, but I can forgive him for that!
I very nearly became one myself way back when.
I grew my hair very long, wore bell bottom strides and started playing Dylan & such like on an acoustic guitar and hanging around with other hippy types who wore Afghan coats, beads, bells & things and decided to buy one of these coats for myself.
I Saved some money - ÂŁ15 I think - went into the shop & started trying them on and then spotted a rail of leather biker jackets at the other side of the shop and that was it!!
The realisation that I would never be a hippy and my roots are in Rock 'n' Roll and it flows through my veins struck and it struck hard.
So I walked out of that shop with a brand new black leather jacket which cost the same as the dead sheep's coat would have cost. The hair cut came next, Brylcreem was purchased and applied liberally and sideburns were grown to such an extent that they became a fire hazard.
The acoustic guitar was cast aside to be replaced by my beloved Telecaster!!
It was a close call - I very nearly became a fully fledged Hippy but all that beads, flowers, incense, twanging sitars, and meditation crap really wasn't the way to go.
Get the leather gear on, crank the Telecaster up and have a good old 3 chord, 12 barre bash .. THAT'S the way to do it!! :coolgleamA:
