tester light is on but it is neutral?

Mmm live testing dont you just love it lol , sorry sunday to early for the wine lol , there are alot of reason why you could have Live at a neutral one that should be obviose especially if its a pendant fitting is polarity is this correct how many times you see the neutrals of a pendant fitting connected to the live terminal etc etc, another is it actually the neutral or the unidentified switched live , another is an open circuit neutral where when switched on the live will flow through the lamp and back down the neutral making it look like its live , so how to find out which it is ,simple r1r2 test followed by an r1rn test this will confirm your polarity and continuation of your neutrals ,
as for working live i agree with it for experianced electricians ,but you should never get complaicent , as my snips found out yesterday opps ,dont take risks and always test ,dont take much to kill you
