well that was fun!
very limited testing of dc
turned up at job this morning a field of solar panels to test
5 mins instructions off we went
carried out irpos to earth array
neg to earth array
polarity
isc with test isolat
voc
managed to test 1 string pair on 50 invertors
not bad for first day!

question - when you say you tested them, do you mean you put the tester on and wrote down the results, or did you also double check that the results made sense in terms of what you'd expect for that many panels on a string in that level of irradiance / temperature?

or was someone else doing that last bit?

yes put tester on and wrote down results, irradiance is being carried out at later time as only 1 meter, each string had its own sheet to fill in results,he needed 25% of each inverter string tested as had a deadline to meet as connecting up tom.
there are 250+ invertors with 4 pairs each and this is just phase 1
learned quite a bit, just been thrown into it really as guy was crying out for help
everything goes back to the guys running it to check results but generally we were looking for reverse polarity, poor ir readings etc
also had to make off sunclick connectors(maybe wrong name)
