Guys,

have installed 4 more double sockets into a cupboard for a client at the beginning of the week 2 sockets were already there so cut into ring. Gone back to do testing this morning on the circuit but were this is a new build the other company that have done the full electrical installation have come in dueing the week and done a full test of the whole installation. I am thinking that my sockets would then be covered under there certificate is this right. Also should'nt they of done this testing when they first done the install as all circuits are on

cheers

you could argue that you should have tested your work before leaving and re-energising the circuit. earlier in the week.
Since they have tested out now, and your work was only Minor, I wouldn't worry too much about it!

Lets just hope they like your workmanship and don't put any naughty comments on their EIC!

As it's your work Peter I would test it and issue a mwc, they may indeed of tested it but if you do your own test and certificate then there can be no come backs later.
